Pros

The CEO, VP of Ops, VP of sales and RVP of Ops are the best team in Senior Living. The support, the genuine heart they had for my residents, the communication was stellar, I really could go on and on. At the end of the day it’s about the residents, it’s also about making a profit and I always wanted my building to be profitable. Our owner went a different direction in a management company

Cons

Short staffed, pay wasn’t great for our front line staff, food cost were low with what they expected. We had an RVP of Sales that was and will remain the person who sets the tone for ISL. She never followed through on what she threw at us yet we were never doing a good enough job. In my entire career I’ve never been spoken to in such a degrading manner. When owners asked us what we thought, we let them know. I hope ISL takes this into consideration before you lose more buildings. We miss you we don’t miss her.

Pros

Pay was fair, management seemed nice

Cons

No team support, as an accountant you were expected to baby the property managers to do their jobs and yours, no one had time to look away from their computers or a take a lunch

Pros

Lots of programs created to deliver resident center of care. Great food program “Elevate” which is a very well thought out comprehensive program focused on creating meaningful moments with the residents and improving dining services all together. Awesome activities program and Generations “memory care”. Good support from regionals if you need it when it comes to HR related stuff.

Cons

Just like all line staff in senior care the starting pay is stagnant and not competitive. No culinary regional support.
