Politics and Poor Leadership

Pros

- Great at hiring talent individual contributors

Cons

- Steeped in politics - Executive leadership has no idea what it's doing, especially when it comes to technology. - Laid of talented and forwarding thinking individuals/leaders in order to preserve outdated technology and empower out-of-touch technical leadership. - Company isn't heading in the right direction. Stay away.

Pros

Ability to drive impact through innovation and creative problem solving. Great remote-friendly culture.

Cons

Being a fully remote organization comes with a higher degree of problems with communication and collaboration, which means you need to be the kind of person who is ok to lean in and drive things yourself.

Sad disappointing result of merger

Business Outlook

Pros

Interwell Health offers several meaningful initiatives that promote inclusivity and employee engagement, including active Employee Resource Groups that create a sense of community and belonging. The company generally respects work/life balance, allowing employees the flexibility to manage their personal and professional responsibilities. Additionally, there are many smart, passionate, and collaborative individuals who genuinely want to make a difference in kidney care—working with them is one of the best parts of being here.

Cons

Since the merger, the company's strategic direction has felt increasingly fragmented, largely due to ongoing internal power struggles between leaders from the legacy organizations. Decision-making often seems driven by preserving the status quo of legacy Fresenius structures and personnel, rather than embracing innovation or merit-based contributions. This has led to repeated layoffs that disproportionately affect newer talent and voices advocating for progress, which undermines employee morale and hampers forward momentum. The culture increasingly feels resistant to change, despite the company branding itself as a transformative force in healthcare.
