      Pros

      Ability to work independently, build clinical skills through providing therapy to children, family, and adults.

      Cons

      Communication from management and headquarters to direct service providers is poor. Lack of adequate orientation to familiarize with documentation process, IDCC policies and mission and overall IDCC services provided to the community. Limited amount of career opportunities. Lack of ongoing training.

      Wide variety of experience dealing with members of low income populations, good way to get supervised hours towards higher license.

      Cons

      Only get noticed if you do something wrong, no formal training opportunities. Not much chance for upward mobility.
