      Pros

      Intermountain Healthcare is a thriving organization which truly cares about the people that they serve. They take good care of their employees and have excellent benefits.

      Cons

      I've worked there for a good year-and-a-half, and haven't noticed any cons of working there. Some co-workers would disagree, but it's all a matter of perspective and attitude.

      Pros

      Intermountain really values it's employees. We were encouraged to live healthy lifestyles, and given a small bonus each quarter for meeting health goals.

      Cons

      The Wages at ntermountain are slightly less than those of other Utah hospitals

      You get to know how the healthcare system works

      Pros

      As a not-for-profit, there is really a feeling that the patient is the top priority, rather than any shareholders like at other companies. Very stable place to work. Compensation is fair. I really get to know how many of the processes work in health care and how government gets involved with regulations.

      Cons

      Very slow moving when it comes to technology. There are lots of opportunities for new innovations, but the bureaucracy slows things down so much it's hard to get to them. While compensation is fair, that is all, as it is based on industry averages. HR methods are outdated with performance review methods and job ladder limited besides to go into management.
