Pros

Good technical support and tools for remote work. Some very strong Senior Leadership, including women in very senior roles.

Cons

Lots of recent downsizing, lots of layoffs after a recent merger. Organization is in serious financial difficulty even after merger brought in huge assets. “Back to green” initiative means that cuts are likely to continue for the next 5 years as newly acquired service lines and departments are cut and that work is transferred to operational teams. Limited career paths or room for career growth.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, both positive and constructive. We value all our current and former caregivers’ feedback, as our focus is to continually improve our practices. As a healthcare organization, everything we do is rooted in data, from creating treatment plans for patients to making decisions about our business. Our benefits package is no different. Intermountain offers benefits that support caregivers, maintain affordability and sustainability, stay competitive in the market, and create a consistent experience for all caregivers. Our benefits will continue to evolve based on caregiver feedback and market data. Additionally, at Intermountain, we assess pay on an annual basis, to reflect geography, and as the market changes. Lastly, healthcare organizations and other industries across the country are facing substantial financial challenges and headwinds, and we are focused on supporting our long-term sustainability. Intermountain is committed to continuing to deliver on our mission and ensure that our structures and processes ultimately best meet the needs of patients, members, caregivers, providers, and communities. We appreciate your review and will share it with our teams as we continue to move forward.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. First and foremost, we are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience at Intermountain Health. We appreciate your valuable feedback as it helps us identify the areas we can improve. Intermountain provides various resources to share news with our leaders and caregivers, and programmatically, we’ve built deliberate opportunities to collaborate and share feedback. (Examples of this include the 30, 60, 90-day Check-Ins with your manager as part of the new employee onboarding program, re-occurring quarterly meetings, team huddles, and staff meetings.) Additionally, we enjoy the privilege of working with caregivers from many different heritages and backgrounds, who enhance our mission by bringing their traditions, customs, experiences, and perspectives to work every day. Our Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) is active in visibly raising awareness and helping us create a culture of equitable opportunity and belonging. The OEI hosts and sponsors events, trainings, Caregiver (Employee) Resource Groups, and multimedia marketing campaigns. More fundamentally, these talented caregivers drive our focus on ongoing policies and practices for hiring, supporting, and developing a diverse and culturally competent workforce at all levels, listening to diverse groups caregivers, and sourcing from diverse talent pools in the community. We take all feedback seriously and will share your review with our teams as we continue to move forward.
