Pros

Your coworkers are great for the most part.

Cons

Staffing is out of wack. People are constantly on call. It’s the only hospital around so there isn’t competitive wages. Staffing ratios are 1:6 (I’ve had as much as 8 before…)

Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. First and foremost, we are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your experience at Intermountain Health. We appreciate your valuable feedback as it helps us identify the areas we can improve. While the healthcare industry continues to face staffing shortages across the nation, Intermountain is employing innovative solutions to address these shortages, including remote and hybrid work options for select positions where possible, tuition reimbursement/education assistance, paid training programs and apprenticeships, and partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations to develop a pipeline of healthcare talent. Through these avenues, as well as an organizational focus on retention efforts, we’re working to ensure we have the workforce we need to provide high quality care to our patients and communities. Additionally, we assess pay on an annual basis, to reflect geography, and as the market changes. We take all feedback seriously and will share your review with our teams as we continue to move forward.

Intermountain Health provides various resources to share news with our leaders and caregivers, and programmatically, we’ve built deliberate opportunities to collaborate and share feedback. Examples of this include the 30, 60, 90-day Check-Ins with your manager as part of the new employee onboarding program, re-occurring quarterly meetings, team huddles, and staff meetings.
