High Standards and overall great company to work for

Pros

The team environment, coworkers and pay increases over time were more than reasonable.

Cons

Advancing in the company is something they encouraged but it seems like the person who had the most experience was left to feel inadequate while someone with less experience takes the position. Sometimes it felt like nobody would listen to the little person but change everything about their job in a heartbeat. Also Management would sometimes baby their employees and treat them like we were children and no like valued, contributing employees.

Pros

Large, updated modern facilities, can take pride in offering amazing health care to patients and families, well known in community, adequate broad spectrum benefits packages for even part time employment, tuition reimbursement, place value on education, lots of community involvement

Cons

"Say" they value their employees through lots of rhetoric, but policies don't actually place value upon employees. Frequent thought reinforced is that there is always someone out there waiting to have your job, you are easily replaceable. Doesn't lead to inspiration and positive work environment, many high quality employees do leave at the first opportunity to find employment elsewhere.

Good benefits, be ready to be manipulated

Pros

Growing enterprise, dominates the market, upward opportunities if you become well connected, lots of resources.

Cons

Rampant nepotism, aloof and self-serving executives, bloated corporate structure, it's always about the finances, cutthroat competition between many functions, arrogance without competence with many senior leaders, many programs of the month distract from patient safety, reliance on consultants over leadership competence, lip service to values but only superficial demonstration
