Nurse Managers tend to be run into the ground and then cast aside when no longer needed. Poor support from leadership, especially physician leadership. Physician bullies are not held accountable.

Pros

You can learn a lot, just by being surrounded with the people that you are.

Cons

Not enough pay to deal with horrible treatment from patients and managers of other departments. Attendance policy is a joke. There is definitely some favoritism. Managers look the other way when other people leave/call out. But then turn to you for missing 1 day and having to go to the ER. And getting told you are going to get a write up for it.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, both positive and constructive. We value all our current and former caregivers’ feedback, as our focus is to continually improve our practices. As a healthcare organization, everything we do is rooted in data, from creating treatment plans for patients to making decisions about our business. Our benefits package is no different. Intermountain Health offers benefits that support caregivers, maintain affordability and sustainability, stay competitive in the market, and create a consistent experience for all caregivers. Our benefits will continue to evolve based on caregiver feedback and market data. Additionally, we assess pay on an annual basis, to reflect geography, and as the market changes. We appreciate your review and will share it with our teams as we continue to move forward.
