Pros

They have an excellent new grad program for new graduate nurses.

Cons

There are no options for part-time as a new graduate. You have to complete too much "training" during work hours, meetings, and orientations that are out of schedule.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, both positive and constructive. We value all our current and former caregivers’ feedback, as our focus is to continually improve our practices. We encourage our caregivers and leaders to engage in open and accessible forms of communication. Programmatically, we build deliberate opportunities to be collaborative and share feedback. Additionally, we believe that a culture of well-being for all caregivers is foundational to our ability to deliver on our mission of helping people live the healthiest lives possible. Caregivers are at the heart of what we do, which is why we have invested in and implemented several programs and resources to help caregivers enhance their physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and financial health. It’s important that every caregiver feels secure, supported, and safe, both at home and at work. We appreciate your review and will share it with our teams as we continue to move forward.

Pros

Benefits are good You’ll find some people who really care about their job Nice to know you’re helping others They are inclusive Managers are nice and care a lot

Cons

It’s huge company, so not always very organized. Communication is bad specially between departments. They talk a lot about growing from within but I don’t see a lot of opportunities unless your end goal is to be a nurse. You’re hired to be a diet tech and end up getting a lot of shifts to work in the kitchen. If you’re studying to be a dietitian maybe try a clinical diet tech job instead if you can do part time.

Additionally, we are committed to life-long learning and providing professional development opportunities for all our caregivers. Upward mobility is a key focus for us. We implement educational resources that empower caregivers to gain new skills that drive personal and professional growth. Some of these resources include access to an online digital learning library and partial tuition coverage for a number of accredited programs. Through these avenues, we strive to support talent development that can align with the career goals of our caregivers. We appreciate your review and will share it with our teams as we continue to move forward.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. First and foremost, we are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your experience at Intermountain Health. We appreciate your valuable feedback as it helps us identify the areas we can improve. We encourage our caregivers and leaders to engage in open and accessible forms of communication. Programmatically, we build deliberate opportunities to be collaborative and share feedback. Additionally, while the healthcare industry continues to face staffing shortages across the nation, Intermountain is employing innovative solutions to address these shortages, including remote and hybrid work options for select positions where possible, tuition reimbursement/education assistance, paid training programs and apprenticeships, and partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations to develop a pipeline of healthcare talent. Through these avenues, as well as an organizational focus on retention efforts, we’re working to ensure we have the workforce we need to provide high quality care to our patients and communities. We take all feedback seriously and will share your review with our teams as we continue to move forward.
