Pros

I've worked for IHC for a long time. They helped put me through school. I have a lot of respect for my coworkers and I get to make a difference in the lives of my patients.

Cons

Things are rough lately. Patient care is overshadowed by outrageous yearly "goals" and a new computer system that makes my days tedious. I spend less and less time having face to face interaction with my patients. I enter the room, immediately turn on the computer, and spend the next 15 minutes reminding myself to make eye contact with the patient because the computer is freezing or requiring me to check more boxes. Also, the pay is a joke, especially for female-dominated fields aka nurses, receptionists, etc.

Pros

In the Care Transformation division, there are some “leaders” that still try and do the right thing Benefits are decent (Healthcare, Dental, PTO)

Cons

In my group of Care Transformation, it is a blatant free for all where some “partners” encourage employees to work around others Leaders are allowing Cerner to make changes to the application that are not reviewed and given approval by Intermountain. As many leaders were relieved of responsibility before restructuring, they were told by HR that they would be visited by them and that they would make it right. Many of those leaders are still waiting for their visit to make it right. When Intermountain does bring people in the pay equity is horrible and not evaluated.

Pros

Wonderful peers, good benefits, large organization with a lot of growth opportunity.

Cons

With recent reorganization, outsourcing, and a new CEO - moral has dropped considerably and demolished any sense of unity. Fear has created an every-man-for-himself atmosphere. I used to be proud to work for Intermountain, now I am embarrassed to tell people I work there and often apologize to others when I find that they do as well.
