Pros

Base salary Work life balance (although leadership continues to push for more hours)

Cons

Majority first-time mangers who have no idea how to develop talent, motivate, give feedback, or be upfront. No training is given to new hires, you are just thrown out on the shop floor to figure things out with no touchbases or developmental feedback along the way. No effort is made on the part of management to learn about their direct report and create a development plan to help you grow within the organization. For reference, one of my coworkers was identified as a top performer, and they were shocked to discover this because they thought they were going to be fired because the manager literally just ignored them on a day to day basis. That’s the thing, management will ignore you if you are doing well, because they receive no pressure from senior leadership to develop talent in-house, and they will ignore if you’re doing poorly because they are all under qualified, first time manager, who are afraid of difficult conversations. They will let bottom performers go, and justify it by saying theu don’t fit into the company “culture” - this is virtually always done with no prior disciplinary action, no training, no touch bases.. This company is a complete dead end with no direction, and many office-based personnel are beginning to realize this and flood to other companies. Company announcements/information is often communicated slowly or not at all (see: inexperienced management), and bonus structure, site location, schedules, etc often change on a whim and are communicated to employees without necessary notice. Managers micro-manage and refuse to delegate responsibilities, because senior leadership favor surviving day to day versus long term sustainability. I asked to be assigned a project for an entire year, and the only thing I was ever given was updating two SOPs, one of which just had a few grammatical errors in the header. Roles, responsibilities, and procedures are unclear and weakly-defined, causing frustration, burnout, and cross-department feuding, but management lacks the experience and necessary cross-team facilitation ability to rectify these issues. Instead they will just ask you take on more, and will tell you they will take such topics to their leadership meetings which never happens. Long story short: the base salaries are relatively competitive here, but you cannot rely on the bonuses to be paid out, and you will never grow professionally or be challenged in any meaningful way here. Note: this review is applicable to roles at the supervisor level and above, I would actually recommend this company for associate or team lead positions, as the company for whatever reason is only invested in building up and receiving feedback from individuals filling these roles.
