IT Business unit - worst place to work for

Pros

Great Company and benefits.

Cons

IT Business Unit is a terrible place to work. Starting from the top, there is a scare mentality to brow beat people below without any appetite to listen to bad news. Each Manager is scared of his boss and it traverses up. Responsibilities for a space is owned by multiple people (due to bad re-orgs) and ends up no one willing to solve a problem. But for sure will see how to blame the other one. Layoffs are on the dot after the Tax season ends. Managers instead of managing performance take the easy way out of including people they dont like into the list. Re-orgs are useless. Roles and areas are created to fit a Manager's profile which ends up with the same crap in a new role. You will find lot off people who are there since many years and figured out how to play the rules. And they have zero motivation. When you are done with this Company, you feel exhausted and wasted. The compensation is the only thing that holds you back. Once you get over it you will leave this place.

Pros

The only pros I can give is that the staff was pretty helpful at times and the pay was okay.

Cons

The cons for this job is the extremely short training period and the length of the employment, especially since I was told it was for 3 months and it ended up being for only 7 days. Nightmare on the phones!

Pros

Customer driven design. Commitment to innovate. Strong product brands. Strong compensation pacakes.

Cons

Lost their commitment to values. Very political. Most managers now manage up vs. develop their people. No mobility opportunities.
