      Typical Utah, not Silicon Valley

      Pros

      Had to work there after a messy acquisition.

      Cons

      They definitely hire a type of person (think Utah - look at the leadership team). The acquisition was a mess. They fired some people only to bring them back, only to lay them off again later. Some folks had absurd titles and couldn't explain what they did. Took away a lot of compensation from previous company. No bonuses, equity, etc.

      Pros

      Many good, friendly, hard-working employees.

      Cons

      No stock options. Jobs moving off-shore. Managers work against their reporting managers. Clumsy HR interactions, including characterizing parts of the layoff experience as enjoyable. Laid off workers forced to train off-shore workers during the laid-off workers' family hours. Questionable behavior by managers visiting Indian offices, including aggressively drafting highly accomplished technical employees as their personal secretaries and drivers during their visits.

      Pros

      There are a lot of really talented and great people at Ivanti. It's just too bad that the sales leadership creates such an incredibly toxic environment.

      Cons

      This is by far the most toxic sales environment I have ever been in. The micromanagement and focus on optics rather than results is ridiculous. It's so bad that reps that were hitting their quota's leave the company because of the way they are treated by management. They have created an environment where it is easier to lie just to appease the ridiculous requests from leadership. The turnover is ridiculous and it is a known problem all the way up to the CEO.
