Pros

I have been working for Ivanti for close to 10 years, so hopefully when you read this review the fact that I, like many others here have, have been here a lot longer than most people tend to stay at a company in the IT market, you find it useful and unbiased. My pro's: Great people - our employee count has grown dramatically, but most of the team I work with have been here 5+ years, and they are great at what they do, and we are like a family (which also means we can have our ups and downs sometimes). Our Exec's will fly out to visit the offices regularly and genuinely care about staff, they are approachable all the way up to our CEO and are always happy to take on board new ideas to try and improve our company. Great products - we have been in at least 4 Gartner magic quadrants each year since I joined the company. Our products make it easier for IT to be an enabler to their business, whether that's ensuring security compliance with patching and remediation, managing their end points even in distributed environments across multiple platforms and OS's, and using our knowledge of ITSM to ensure that service management is the hub that allows everything to plug into it and for us to automate processes and leverage elements like identity management or asset management to give IT a more consistent and holistic view and span of control of their organisation’s IT systems. Career development – the fact that we have grown so quickly has meant that there are also a lot more opportunities for progression within the company. Management – speaking from my personal perspective, I have had great managers in my time here, helping me to develop in my role and allowing me the flexibility to try do things differently. Work life balance – I enjoy the work I do and work way more than I am contracted to, but ultimately the reason I work is to have the lifestyle I want with my family, being able to go to kid’s sports days or fetch them from school if I need to, and I have that here. As long as my work gets done there is no issue, and I love that.

Cons

We have grown dramatically, a lot of that through acquisitions, and with that there are bound to be issues. We have had staff turnover from the companies we have acquired, but not everyone wants to work for a company the size we are now, and if their managers were not kept on as part of the acquisition, they will very often leave to go to wherever they end up, that’s not unusual (although I wish we had known that at the time). We have also lost some good people as part of the acquisitions. We have had to deal with the integration of products, processes, systems, all of that while still trying to run the business. No matter how much better we get at managing acquisitions, there are always going to be challenges, and it can be frustrating when things don’t move as quickly as we want them to.

Thank you for taking time to provide such detailed feedback. Completing several acquisitions in just a few short years has not been without its challenges and we do recognize that employees joining Ivanti through acquisition have experienced a lot of change this last year. We are excited about our future and know it will provide opportunities for many. If you would like to share additional detail please email hr@ivanti.com.

Pros

Product suite has potential if marketing could figure out how to work together

Cons

Marketing Org operates like it is the 1990's - NOTHING innovative. Politics and building personal "empires" trump ALL efforts to create a collaborative and successful organization. Within marketing, the influence of the church is REAL - favoritism and elitist attitudes prevail. Remote workers are treated as second-class citizens. LANDesk 'brotherhood' is also strong - if you were part of it prior to the re-brand, you are "untouchable". Change is encouraged, but leaderships' actions suggest otherwise.
