Pros

J. Crew is a great company with hard working employees that pull out results and drives you to work at your best.

Cons

There isn't much positive reinforcement or training given by the department which can be difficult for new hires and constant contractors who come in & out.

Pros

Information sharing as far as sales goals, projections, and earnings. Discounts are reasonable, especially on sale items ( 50% off).

Cons

When I started at J.Crew there was an "across the board" management re-structuring. It became far less personal between Employer-Employee, meaning less flexibility on hours, and days availability. The professionalism and competency of management was laughable, even at the flagship Manhattan store that I was working for. Overnight floor sets, inventory, and re-stocking became nearly impossible.
