Pros

Great PTO and Summer 1/2 Fridays

Cons

Not only is the structure of the company chaotic and antiquated, it is also an awful place for people of color to work at.

Pros

-Worked in a small store, so the environment was close-knit -Opportunities to win free product, Visa gift cards, and other small awards -Good discount - 60% off 6 items per month for yourself, 40% off everything else (including sale), occasional extra 75% off sale, 40% off kill price of damages

Cons

-Very gossipy management. Manipulative and passive aggressive store director who was too nervous to confront some of her own employees. -Severely underpaid. I worked for the company for 2 years. I started as a stylist making $10/hour. They gave me a $0.25 raise after a year (and I was one of their best employees, according to the management team). A short while after minimum wage went up to $10.50. I was promoted to a temporary Assistant Manager position. Because it was temp, I wasn’t paid the hourly wage of an AM, but I was paid a taxed $50 bonus each week. Other AMs were making $15/hr and were eligible for bonus and incentive plans for AMs. I was not given that because my permanent position was as a stylist. I was kept in this temp position for almost a year, then the store was closed. I later found that a stylist that had been working there for 8 months made more money than me per hour - talk about a slap in the face. -This company is going down the drain. Constant sales and a price driven, difficult customer. -Does not value work/life balance. I’m a student and they used me and hung me out to dry. Gave me 4 hours/week when it was convenient and had me working 13 weekends in a row when it was convenient (again, I was a student). Constantly being called in to cover and they took advantage of the fact that I always said yes.
