Good experience, have the freedom to be creative with the portrait sessions and bounce back ideas with the clients

Cons

In a nutshell: It seemed like it was quantity over quality. Over work for little pay during the holiday season, not able to use different camera settings for better photos since the computer program will not take the photos unless you correct the camera to its "proper" setting

Pros

Meeting new people and becoming attached to frequent customers, who have brought their children in since day one and you get to watch them grow.

Cons

After gaining a new manager, this location has become a complete joke. They have lost sight of what really matters (The Customer). They are understaffed, underpaid for all the work an employee does, and some of the employees don't really care or take pride into what they are doing. There is no structure or work schedule (if there is, then it's once in a blue moon). You usually find out if you have to the night before, sometimes between 8-9pm, so you can't really plan for anything. You mostly work by yourself during the week day and sometimes weekends. Appointments are scheduled most of the time too close together, so there isn't enough time (10-15 minutes) to really engage with the customer. I have plenty more cons, but not enough time to type them.

Pros

There's the occasional nice kid, or guest that actually appreciates your services, but unfortunately, this is rare.

Cons

The pay is lousy, the commission is a joke, and the management and customers are brutal. The worst part is the pay and commission. You'll make a little over minimum wage, and then a bonus 5 dollars (which you share with either the photographer or sales person) for selling the rip-off 300 dollar package. Oh, and if you want to spend time with family during the holiday season, forget it. You'll be swamped with hours during the holidays, and then get very few afterwards.
