      Pros

      I worked there from the time I was 17 until last year. They have always treated me like family. They make sure that employees are recognized for their talents and their dedication. The store manager went out of her way to make sure I transferred to a location closer to the college I was attending. It was one of the best places I ever worked.

      Cons

      Not many hours available after January. I went from having at least 20 hours down to about 4-5 a week. However, this happens a lot in retail after the peak holiday seasons are over. Other than that I loved working there.

      Pros

      Incredibly flexible and willing to give you work/life balance. Especially with the recent transformation, there are incredibly brilliant minds in senior leadership with Ivy League/Top Tier company backgrounds.

      Cons

      Job security :/ It's scary sometimes due to changes.

      Pros

      J.C. Penney has a great 401k program. The pay is fair, especially if you get into management. J.C.Penney was very big on Customer Service and it showed when the regular customers came back again and again for the personal attention.

      Cons

      With the many changes that J.C. Penney has just undergone, not sure how the Customer Service is. It is unfortunate that a lot of quality people were let go recently. If you are looking for Full time hours J.C. Penney is trending away from Full time associates unless you are a supervisor or manager.
