Pros

lets see i have been at my store for two years now as a sales support associate, the jobs that i have done are: Utility support, Replenishment team, Reciever, and cashier. Its a very easy job, sometimes it can get a little hectic and for my area i am postive that we don't get paid enough for half the tasks we do. co-workers are great, supervisors nd middle management is great, however the store manager...not so much...there always seems to be on bad apple. He dissaproves of internal promotions and would much rather get someone from the outside when there are plenty of competent employees ready to step up.

Cons

Upper level management does not seem to care much about the employees, when the district manager comes the store manager will get out on the floor and actually do work...other than that he hides in his office all day.. pay isn't great, not even if your a manager.

Pros

JCPenney in Visalia provides better-than-average part-time jobs for entry-level employees. Pleasant work environment, teamwork amongst all levels of staff, flexible scheduling, and encouragement to those wishing to advance in the retail field are all positive attributes to be found there.

Cons

As with any part-time, entry-level retail job, the pay is rather low, but that is to be expected for the type of work performed as a sales associate. However, this job is great to hold while pursuing additional education (college) or balancing parenting responsibilities with employment.

Pros

If you have a good store Manager that is Pro-Active with Loss Prevention you should be fine. I think that is with any retail store you go with.

Cons

I had been employed twice with J.C. Penney a few yrs apart from each other. I found that store management plays a large portion of morale for a store. The second time employed , poor Store Manager,,,store morale was down all the time.
