Pros

Good place to learn and gain experience in corporate retail. Diverse workforce. Nice office. People generally friendly and helpful. Reputable place of employment.

Cons

Little to no upward mobility/career path opportunity. Promotions usually based on seniority & politics rather than merit . Little to no training. Not generally open to new ideas or progressive thinking. Likes to maintain the status quo. Every day is the same. Once you are in a role it's hard to switch to a completely different part of the company and generally unsupported. Lots of hiring from the outside rather than give opportunity to internal employees. Little to no goal-setting/personal development. Recent layoffs greatly hurt company morale and culture. Little to no direction from management and leaders. During my time the company was in survival mode which created a culture where people were mainly out for themselves. Company departments lack communication regarding corporate strategy and no one is on the same page. Highly disorganized.

Pros

Experience, some great and talented people. Convenient location. Corporate has Good on-site features. Ability to become a great company again.

Cons

Management is out of touch with reality in a declining business with rotating door specifically in IT. You don’t actually manage anything but update upper executives who micro manage and don’t actually understand how to run an IT Department. They continue to hire the wrong senior leadership at the Senior Director and VP level on up.

Pros

Discount and benefits for part time associates. Core benefits include Dental with Aetna vision with VSP legal life hospital accident critical illness with AFLAC and 401k 5% match dollar for dollar. Pretty good for a part time.

Cons

Turnover. Late night closing. Recovery team needed. Associates would perform better if they weren't burnt out. People should not be kept past their scheduled time without giving the option to stay. One should not be held hostage because the store was busy.
