Currupt Managenent (Regional, District, and Store Level)

Pros

Company discount and health benefits.

Cons

Deceitful management (Regional, District, and Store Management). It's pointless to file formal complaint via J-Line! Store management is protected despite evidence of unethical work practices (ie bullying, documenting false write ups, I could go on). I initially thought it was a flaw that was going on in my store. But soon discovered my friend in another district went through the same issue! Promotions are based on personal feelings rather than work performance

Pros

One of the last few retailers that lets you do your job(hands on). This company has some culture to it.

Cons

Raises are very small unless you are promoted, in order to be promoted you will have to move to another location. Stores can be up to 25-40 miles away. Management can take your hours away. In order to get them back you have to be very productive in making apprehensions. Full-time is considered 30+ hours, but you will probably only get 35 max unless it's Christmas.

Salon Receptionist

Pros

Good co workers and hair stylists, decent prices, wide variety of products to choose from, store discount, discount on hair services

Cons

Manager was only allowed so many hours to give to the receptionists at low pay. I worked for commission when I first started then it was changed to no commission but they raised my hourly wage. Then the receptionist position was eliminated so I was forced to apply for jobs elsewhere. Now the receptionist position is back so I can't say how things have changed since that happened. Not only was the Salon Manager on the receptionists about every little thing, the store managers were as well. Many people forget that the salon receptionists are the glue to the salon, we make things run efficiently with scheduling, selling product, calling to fix schedule conflicts, etc.
