Seasonal Job

Pros

The 25% discount was pretty cool.

Cons

If you get hired for seasonal, just realize that your presence is not going to be taken seriously by management. They won't try to get to know you, or even remember your name. After the "training"(basically 12 hours of sitting in front of a computer) you're not taught anything, just thrown onto the floor. You teach yourself how to do everything and that will be hard especially if your non seasonal coworkers are snobby and unwilling to help you out. Also they overhire for the holidays so on most days you won't be lucky enough to be on register but on the floor..folding..and folding...and fixing..and folding...

Pros

The Campus in Plano is in a very convenient location. Parking is sufficient and there is plenty of open space to walk around and exercise.

Cons

Very Desperate Company with significant financial difficulties. Vendors refused to do business with us due to the financial situation. The turnover rate is astronomical and morale is very low.

Pros

Jcpenney used to offer good benefits, that is why I chose to work there. They have updated their image as best they can, but its still a joke.

Cons

Salon manager and receptionists have blatant favoritism If you transfer to another store from out of state jcpenney treats you terrible. They will only give you 2-3 day work weeks, will not give you any customers so you will sit all day and not make any money. Making the stylists go out into the store and bothering customers who are shopping by handing out coupons or free services. Rude, cheap customers with unrealistic expectations. No back up from manager. Stylists are expected to rebook 50% of customers for next appointment before checkout or will not be given any new customers, even though 50% of 0 is ZERO. Some co workers are nice, but most are horrible insecure lowlifes who hate new employees and will do anything to make them quit or get fired.
