My manager (office manager) was a good guy. The upper management didn't rely on fear and intimidation to manage employees. This job was a good fit for me, the work load was great for my skill set and experience at the time. They were very focused on safety. Most people I worked with were pretty good people. Jeld-Wen is a very big corporate global company, but this location felt like a small family owned shop.

Cons

I was laid off, because the former CEO did a very poor job of managing the company. The plant was a dump. Insurance was bad. Pay was not very good, however they paid me fair. No raises or any kind of bonus. The manufacturing people felt neglected and overlooked. Finished good products didn't have a robust quality review process, they just wanted to get anything that looked like a door or window on a truck and off the dock.
