It’s automatically expected that you’ll take on other duties and be responsible for projects not in your description. It’s very hard to get a raise or promotion. If your department is understaffed JW thinks it’s perfectly reasonable to expect everyone else to do the extra work with no additional payment & they have little desire to fill vacated positions.
