Company struggles to focus on the long-term and reward employees

Pros

Co-workes for the most part are good. People try hard to make the right decisions and meet management's expectations. You can work remotely.

Cons

Management is so focused on quarterly guidance that it is hurting the long-term viability of the company. JELD-WEN has talked about growth and productivity for years, but there really has been no growth or market share gain. Margins have also not moved very much. It is frustrating to hear the same thing every year only to have the company go back to focusing on weekly and monthly performance issues and cutting back on budget and investment in the business. While JELD-WEN has made remote work an option, it has provided no support to corporate workers during the last two years. The benefits are mediocre.

The people that work there are nice.

Cons

The leadership just "fails up". Can't lead a team of 5 people well? No problem! Let's give you a whole department instead! Like to change your vision for your team at the drop of a hat? Go for it. Does the product keep failing and the stock prices keep dropping? They have a fix for that - just cut 100+ people at a time! Then do it again the next quarter!
