      Soul-eating, backward-thinking, and notorious for ignoring employee morale

      Pros

      Decent pay for the industry, and you gain valuable experience fast.

      Cons

      The soul-eating grind was unbearable because everything felt stuck in a backward-thinking loop of inefficiency. You'd expect a company with such a notorious name to have some modern processes, but no, they clung to outdated systems that wasted everyone's time. Trying to get anything streamlined or improved was like talking to a brick wall, and the blame game ran rampant when things inevitably went wrong. It felt like they prioritized appearances over actually supporting employees or making real progress.

      As far as I can tell, there aren't any here.

      Cons

      Work environment is incredibly hostile because of senior employees feeling entitled. Workloads are unbalanced, salaries are horrible, and promotions are on given to management's favorites. I would avoid this company if I were you.

      Employees get some decent discounts and health benefits.

      There's rampant toxicity and abuse here at JG Wentworth. Most of the managers here don't have any respect and a care for employees. They exploit us as much as they can, and they are toxic and verbally abusive toward us employees. They sometimes also yell at us and humiliate us in front of other people.

      This review is not for JG Wentworth. JG Wentworth does not offer Mortgages but the Reviewer claims to be a Mortgage Loan Officer, which doesn't exist at the Company. We have attempted to get this post removed from the Glassdoor.com site but they won't remove the posting. We hope that the person who posted this review finds a better fit and we'd be happy to interview him/her for any positions we have open. If you are reading this review to learn more about JG Wentworth we ask you to consider that we do not have Mortgage Loan Officers and we are not in the Mortgage business.
