Pros

Working at JK was a great experience in many ways. They provide terrific benefits and a profit sharing program. They demand perfection, from truck cleanliness to customer support to operations.

Cons

The pros out weigh the cons, but if something negative is to be said it would be the hours during peak moving season. At times, overtime is expected on the weekends.

Thank you for your comments. We do our best to staff up for the peak season, but sometimes extended hours and overtime are necessary. JK understands that this can be hard on our employees and shows appreciation by hosting events throughout the summer such as on-site farmers markets, ice cream trucks, and work-life balance seminars to keep employees engaged.

Pros

JK is an excellent place to work. They provide their employees with defined career paths and the training to grow. The benefits, especially the 401K and profit sharing plan are beyond anything offered by their competitors. I have worked at the company for many years and can highly recommend it to anyone. It is way more than just a moving company!

Cons

JK is located in eastern Loudoun County, so traffic and your commute are important to consider before taking a position with the company. If you are the kind of person who just wants to collect a paycheck, JK is not the place for you. They demand a total commitment to excellence.

Thank you for your review. Traffic is common in the DC Metro region and commute is certainly something to consider for any job. JK offers many options for employees, including flexible schedules and remote job opportunities. Also, the JK campus is located within walking distance of the future Rt. 606 metro stop on the Silver Line currently under construction.

Great team atmosphere. Communication within and between divisions is excellent. All employees are directly responsible for profit of company. Owner is hands-on and leads by example.

Cons

Summer is peak season for the moving industry and can get pretty hectic. Need to be organized, manage your time wisely and handle stressful environment.
