Great Work/Life Balance - Great Work in Progress
Pros
I have been employed with JPS Composite Materials for almost one year and I am pleased to be a part of this organization! I am being compensated well for my job and the benefits are good and comparable to the companies in this area. For me, there has been a great balance of work and family life. I have not experienced this much flexibility when it comes to being able to support my family. There is a sense of team and an open-door policy with management. JPS provides a wealth of programs for community outreach such as Habitat for Humanity and supports inclusion and diversity. I feel even in the short amount of time that I have been here, there have been many strides towards improvement in several areas of this business, including the attitudes of personnel and management and an increase in financial compensation, among many others.
Cons
While having individuals that have worked in your company for more than 20 years allows a wealth of knowledge and commitment that is obviously unmatched, it also creates a barrier to change. Change is necessary to maintain and grow.
