Pros

Outstanding department to work for with a lot of teamwork going on and excellent officers. More than enough to keep you busy if you want to be. Couldn't have asked for a better department.

Cons

Many of the nurses and other staff call you security all the time but we just started calling them techs and aids and they kinda got the point.

Pros

Autonomy of crna is high, staff is friendly and helpful, cases are interesting because of the diseases of poverty, physical facilities, including parking, are new, clean and easily accessible.

Cons

pay when i left was beginning to lag behind the average for the area, most crnas do not do the best cases, management seems uncoordinated as far as a vision and push for excellence for the surgical department as a whole.
