Pros

Contractor for NASA, so the work environment was amazing if you were with TOSC. There was always a new task that taught you something.

Cons

Because of the contract, the pay was pretty much set with minimal increase. Even as a senior engineer don't expect anything over $85,000/yr.

Toxic work culture

Pros

Its a Job and you get paid

Cons

The workplace culture is extremally toxic. Upper management allows bad behavior, bulling and discrimination to take place and will make excuses for individuals that they have know for a long time. Their HSE professionals are seen as disposable, superintendents can and do over rule HSE professionals advice/direction, and the their safety program hierarchy does not go straight to the construction manager and/or project manager hence removing a HSE professionals ability to do their job.

Pros

Telework and decent 401K program.

Cons

No support to find work from upper management. Must charge to a project number or you sit around waiting for work. No overhead number for anyone, even admins when low on work. Work very limited regardless of how busy a group is. Consistently and constantly changing internal functions for the worse. Obsolete processes. IT and accounting department are effective. and non-efficient. Everything takes forever to get done due to internal processes. Marketing materials; logo does not promote the company, it's hard to even understand what it means., no letterhead, labels or any marketing materials purchased even when the logo was changed still using old logo on many marketing materials.
