      Pros

      Very good company to work as far as putting family first. Very understanding when they're family issues that you need to take care of.

      Cons

      Can't trust them. They will lay you off no matter how loyal you are or how long you have been employed. I've seen many a layoff over the years that I worked there. Never mattered on how many years of service or how good of a worker they are. They can very easily dismiss you. I was employed with them for 18 years. Called me one day and said today is your last day. Job was outsourced to India and they would like for me to stay until the transition is complete. No thank you.!

      Jacobs can do better.

      Pros

      Level of technical skills needed for projects are unique and challenging.

      Cons

      Projects may not be well thought out. Deadlines to meet budgets so that regional P&L numbers look good is a big con. Little feedback from senior management, high turnover, information about layoffs and downsizing at the end of 2009 and early 2010 was not handled in a professional manner.

      Pros

      Local management was great, salary was more than adequate, plenty of interesting work to do, office facilities were very nice and co-workers couldn't be beat.

      Cons

      Upper management way too beholden to stock holders - while they are important, it's the employees that get them where they need to be and they treat the employees as disposable commodities. People are our greatest asset is really a joke - it should really be 'People who are billable are our greatest asset'.
