Pros
I’ve worked at a few companies and most pay lip service to things most of us care about, but don’t actually DO anything about it. Jama is unique in that it walks the talk. Since the day I started and had the best onboarding I have ever had, I have always felt fully supported. Everyone is so helpful to answer questions at any time. If I run into a new issue I can post on Slack and have numerous responses in minutes! The company is rapidly growing and making money and even surprised us all recently by DOUBLING bonuses when we did really well. I’ve never heard of that before. I am also very thankful to be part of a company that is making real progress on diversity with actual goals and measurements shared company-wide. This is the most inclusive and supportive culture that I have ever worked in. Covid has made working from home an ongoing reality, but Jama has done as good a job as possible with virtual bingo, holiday DJs, breakfasts and learns, fireside chats and a vibrant Slack culture. Jama is the best pace I have ever worked and I am doing my part to keep it that way.
Cons
Jama is a culture built around learning and growth with personal accountability. If you are looking for an easy place to just get by, Jama is not for you.
