Pros

The company is welcoming and everyone is friendly. I've been able to grow my career and learned so much in a short period of time. The work is challenging but I have lots of support from my team, engineering and the great product managers. Our team lead is very nice and has helped me get going quickly.

Cons

I wish there was a little more training and reading. Sometimes I have to ask more questions that I would like.

Pros

- Amazing company growth and value. - Job security - we continued to grow through the pandemic, I have no concerns about losing my job, market downturns etc. Such a relief compared to some of my friends who are struggling or stressed. - Opportunities to move around the company and try new thing. I was a leader on the QA side of Engineering and wanted to challenge myself, so I was given the opportunity to convert a professional services team and turn it into a high functioning engineering team and productize several new projects. - Work with amazing customers building amazing things. - Flexible work hours, remote work and family time. - Good benefits, time off, bonuses, gym membership, showers. - Stock options in a growth company that will be worth something !!$$$!!!

Cons

- Jama is a fast growing company and we finally hit a point when some of the long timers (6,9,12 years) are looking for a change. This is the lifecycle of a company like Jama, so there are opportunities for new leaders to emerge, but also spots of growing pains rebuilding tribal knowledge. -Not really a con in today's world. Most teams have remote members now, so there is some culture change from getting drinks, playing board games etc. Now we have more virtual hangouts and online game nights.

Pros

Pros: -Customer base -Benefits are decent (not the greatest compared to other tech companies but OK) -They are starting to ramp up continuing education programs, and DEI awareness programs -They are trying to get diverse in their practices -Informal communication and virtual first culture is great -Great with work/life balance -If you know how to communicate your wants/needs and have the right folks to speak with ... you can go far All teams / managers are different and there's some teams that really cultivate growth, success, diversity, and different perspectives

Cons

-Lack of management training (please make sure if you're promoting someone to a manager, it's not because they were good at their last position being a non-manager but they are also good at coaching, adapting, and cultivating the skill sets on their team -Perhaps better benefits and stock incentives -Involve critical employees in product changes vs just allowing it to be part of an executive huddle, perspectives from employees who face customers everyday would be more realistic -Don't have a favoritism mentality within teams
