Pros

Most of the people are decent.

Cons

The company is too focused on selling a substandard product when they need to be working harder to develop a better product that does what people actually need.

Like all companies, we have things that we can improve on but I’m extremely proud of our product and the work that our employees are doing. Your review highlights the constant challenge in leadership around how and where to focus attention to get the greatest return for the company and its employees. I can assure you that I hear your passion for producing great product and share that passion.

Pros

This is a polarizing environment. Some people are over the moon with their work and their team. Other people are miserable and can't make it better despite trying. This can be incredibly frustrating because you actually give a damn about the people you work with. Like everyone says, most of the people here are great. People are doing interesting things outside of work and the space is safe enough that people can share their interests. Dogs are allowed at work. This doesn't mean that there are dogs however, since people who regularly brought their dogs have left. The company is trying to be diverse even if their methods are only targeted toward certain sectors of diversity. Most departments have a good work life balance. Some people get screwed over by being salaried but still having an enforced schedule, but overall there is flexibility. The company allows people to work from home if feeling unwell or they need to take care of themselves. There are opportunities to move into new positions, but you have to be very experienced for them to even consider you. If you're looking for a company where you can grow, look elsewhere. When the new CEO came in, he said he wanted a company where everyone can grow, unfortunately, we aren't there right now. If you like cereal (and diabetes) we have several varieties. Fortunately we also have insurance and dental.

Cons

No one ever focuses on our growing list of bugs, preferring to focus on an aggressive roadmap. Your salary coming in locks you into your salary in the future regardless of how much growth /promotions you have. Raises are below inflation rates and when you open the conversation for negotiation management pushes any real negotiations out several months each time. There are a lot of promises of things getting better, but it never seems to. Your experience here will really depend on what department you are in. Some departments have kickass managers who actually give a damn about their people, while others don't see why they should even care about happiness. I gave senior management 3 stars, but I would give my own manager 5. The building is not designed well from a safety perspective. If you're in a wheelchair or have difficulty opening doors, this is not the office for you. They asked us to write reviews of the company, but then refute every negative / constructive thing people say.
