      Pros

      smart people, good product (almost sells itself!), cool industry, clearish communication (when compared to other start-ups), pretty good with criticism and will listen to you (even though change can feel impossible), lots of people who enjoy similar activities, I always felt like the company cared about my family and making sure I was taken care of, almost 0 turnover, good tools and uses them well, traditional enterprise startup where you can learn a lot

      Cons

      pay, upward mobility, cross department alignment feels a bit off, Eau Claire vs MPLS environments (it would be nice if all local employees were in the same building), looming feeling of a buyout or IPO even though its unsubstantiated, can feel cult like at times, new year = new manager, always training in the new person, almost no diversity, you can get spread thin fast if you're willing to take on new tasks

      Work life balance. Autonomy and the ability to take care of what needs to be done. Strong leadership. Engaged and personable CEO.

      Cons

      No more or less than anywhere else I have been. People are strange creatures and they exist here as well... imagine that.
