Pros

There were some nice people there at the time, but that's not really something you can bet on.

Cons

The management was quite bad, you were expected to know what to do, and if you didn't they would give you a super repetitive task to repeat in the back without actually teaching you much of anything. I once folded a piece of paper for half an hour because no one gave me any other instructions or direction. After a week of working there I was let go, but they never gave me an official message letting me know this, so I had to ask them multiple times when my next shift would be before I learned this.

Pros

Yummy sandwichs, sandwiches, some nice coworkers

Cons

The owner doesn't care that the manager is literally abusive and manipulative. She literally threatens her workers all the time and when we complain about it we get told that if we don't like it to quit.

Pros

Very rewarding (especially for young people) if you put your all into it and have good owners, learn lots of life skills and earn good management and customer service experience which can be very applicable for future job searching, feel like a mentor to a lot of young people, develop relationships, access to good food at a discount, fast-paced job that keeps you on your feet and in good shape, rarely a dull day, make your own schedule if you have the luxury of having flexibility on your staff, the culture of the company is uniquely genuine, bonuses if your store does well and you have a good understanding with owners, is truly fun if you like who you work with (people who you are in charge of hiring in the first place!), lots of room to move upward sometimes (into corporate or ownership)

Cons

Tough work that requires positivity and putting on a smile even while under pressure, there can be some bad and long days, finding good staff to hire can be difficult depending on time of year and location, the hours can be irregular and long if you don't have reliable staff, customers can be difficult to deal with like in any restaurant, lots of tasks to keep your mind on (time management and multi-tasking is key)
