Pros

Both CEO Sam and Forrest come across as genuinely good individuals. They exude a positivity that unfortunately doesn't permeate the rest of the company's culture. The company does offer a commendable internal professional coaching program. The one-on-one sessions were a highlight, providing great value and personal growth opportunities. There were also some small perks that helped to lighten the day, like the free snack box and lunches. These may seem minor, but they were genuinely appreciated.

Cons

Having spent a considerable amount of time at this company, I regret to report a grim picture of the reality within its walls. Despite the outward impression of a successful and established organization, the internal dynamics paint a much less attractive landscape. The company functions akin to an exclusive boys club with long-standing leaders wielding a disproportionate amount of influence, allowing minimal room for diverse voices or opinions. Leadership is reminiscent of a biased family business, harbouring clear favouritism towards those who've been with the company for longer durations. Such individuals enjoy an unwarranted freedom to disrespect and berate their direct reports without consequences, while newer or 'outsider' employees face quick and harsh reprimands for even minor errors. I've been subjected to deeply unsettling comments from colleagues and management, including a casual "It feels like you are not here for the right reasons" from a colleague, and an unprofessional recommendation to "go see a therapist" from a director, both unchallenged. This silent hegemony attempts to enforce conformity, perceiving any disruption as a threat. Additionally, the compensation is inadequate, far below industry standards, and the benefits package is barely satisfactory. This mix of low pay and poor benefits adds to the overall poor work experience. One particularly disturbing aspect is the prevailing work ethic, or lack thereof. Many employees seem content doing the bare minimum, a phenomenon that has sadly become the norm rather than the exception. This lethargic attitude not only stifles innovation and progress but also cultivates a disheartening environment for those genuinely invested in their roles and the company's success. I recommend potential applicants read the reviews of the many who have left this organization. Their candid reviews paint a more realistic picture of the problematic and deeply entrenched culture within these walls. In conclusion, this company is in dire need of a complete overhaul of its leadership and management practices. Only then will it foster a genuinely inclusive, respectful, and productive work environment. Until that happens, proceed with caution.

This company gave me PTSD and severe imposter syndrome

Pros

Home Services is possibly the best industry to work in with customers who genuinely benefit from SaaS.

Cons

A company you need to prove your human capital worth in, only to do so, and be painfully reminded your intelligence and expertise is not enough. You can create new revenue streams and exceptional performance and never see anything from the company (growth, salary, or simple recognition). You'll fair really well here as a white male (+1 if you make friends with c-suite leaders), or simply if you are an Edmonton local. Expect raging politics, absurd red tape, below-market salary, carrot-hanging, promises that are revoked, and leadership pushing for more but never delivering on employee wellness and professional development that actually matters.

Pros

Remote work. Cool people. Macbooks.

Cons

I can write a book but I'll try to summarize my experience. This place is a dumpster fire. You're micromanaged to death by people who have no business leading sales teams. My direct manager came from Starbucks — literally slinging lattes for a living — with zero real SaaS sales experience, yet somehow got put in charge of coaching reps on closing deals. The blind leading the blind. Leadership is a clique of yes-men (and women) who promote based on fake energy, not skill or results. If you don’t fit the white, bubbly, ultra-positive mold, you’re instantly sidelined. The culture is culty and toxic — question anything, and you’re labeled “negative” or “not a culture fit.” DEI is all talk, no action. They’ll parade it in front of you during onboarding and then completely ignore it. There’s no support, no accountability, and no room for actual growth unless you’re willing to play the game. If you value real leadership, real development, or your sanity — run far, far away.
