Unrealistic expectations

Pros

Easy to access management. Families can now request a specific nanny which makes it more comfortable to go back to a family you are familiar with.

Cons

They expect you to be available/on your phone 24/7. Automatic placement makes it so you cannot decline a job if something comes up. The owner is self-absorbed. No guarantees on placements and hours. On-call pay is low and you do not get compensation for mileage. You only have 1 hour to confirm a job so if you are busy/in class this is not sufficient time.

Pros

Good job for a college student with flexible hours and decent pay

Cons

Horrible management, Owner and GM never in the office, do not return phone calls or emails within 24 hours. Poor communication, inadequate training, unclear job expectations. Asked to do many things outside of your job description, i.e. running/managing the entire office by yourself, training new hires outside of your related field, thrown into assignments without proper information or training.

Deceptive management and no communication

Pros

I would say support, or opportunities for support more than actual support.

Cons

Very deceptive management that seems to encourage misleading information. As a whole, the company needs to pay their nannies better and let them know of benefits that are given by the state. -Also, company is falling way behind when it comes to wages. There is really no point in working for this company if a nanny can be paid twice, sometimes three times, as much money working directly with a family. All the BS they sell about being a reputable company that works with the "best" families is just to lure applicants. Stay away!!!! The turnover rate is also laughable. Would not recommend this job to anyone.
