Worst job of my life

Pros

Some of the nannies were good, well intentioned- just wanting a job that would give them experience for their future career after college. One coworker was kind. Some families were nice to work with.

Cons

The owner was awful. He treated the nannies like “warm bodies”. He had no respect for their health and safety nor that of the 600+ families he worked with. Treated everyone with no respect or threaten lawsuits. No morals or ethics. Micromanaged but always mentioned nothing wanting to be in the business anymore. Demanded 24/7 on call hours but claimed job had a good work/life balance. Wanted employees to drive his children around to events. High employee turnover.

Unprofessional and Disrespectful work experience

I cannot recall anything positive about this work experience.

Cons

no benefits, horrible pay, forced to work on call 24/7, including holidays, horrible work life balance, boss was disrespectful and extremely unprofessional, no concept of work culture, situations were working conditions were dangerous
