Hello, and thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. One of our core values is “respect constructive feedback” for our entire team no matter their role. This is why this response is not listing out “why your points are wrong”, but rather helping to provide a different perspective and resources as a valued member of our team. We not only support employee feedback on their experience with our Clinical Supervisors (BCBAs), but encourage it through Clinical Supervisor performance surveys (sent out at least once every six months per Clinical Supervisor), during stay interviews, and as needed by the center’s Clinical Director. As it looks like you are currently part of our team, we highly encourage you to utilize one of these avenues to address any concerns you have. Another platform you can use is submitting a Human Resources question, comment, or concern through your Paychex Flex portal. If you have questions regarding the benefits offered to you, like unpaid time off, please reach out. All employees are provided Unpaid Time Off (UTO) in a front-loaded UTO Bank at an annual allowance of eighty (80) hours in addition to Paid Time Off (PTO), Bonus PTO, Personal Leave of Absence, and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave. We do take our attendance policy seriously as it is essential to have consistency as a team and consistency in providing essential services to our learners. It is very common for employers to have an attendance policy however, not many offer bonus Paid Time Off (PTO) as a benefit to their policy like ours does. We strive to provide a safe and healthy learning environment for all children and our team, while minimizing unnecessary absences which negatively impact learner progress and staff morale. Requiring supporting documentation like a doctor’s note is not intended to punish individuals who are sick or don’t have health insurance, rather it's to hold staff accountable and is also common practice. We are proud to offer our full-time staff three subsidized health insurance coverage options and have several in-house and contracted resources to support our team in choosing and utilizing the coverage that works best for them. We have thorough learner and staff illness policies in addition to our infectious disease response plan. In general, visual symptoms and/or a physician diagnosis will provide guidance on whether a child may attend or must stay home. We must consider all factors for every situation including if the symptoms are accounted for by another condition as many of our learners have varying medical diagnoses.

Pros

The training is very thorough and gets you through the exam. They have iPads.

Cons

Their sick policy directly contradicts their attendance policy You literally get punished for calling out even if suck even though they tell you not to come in They don’t follow their own rules Trainers and managers are rude and don’t care about anything unless they want to talk because you’re in trouble Coworkers will lie and do things to purposely get you in trouble The attendance policy leaves absolutely no room for illness or emergencies or anything really Management gets angry when you request to use your PTO The pay is SIGNIFICANTLY less than other centers with little to no benefits The RBT increase they talk about when they hire you is like $1 more than when you weren’t registered The training is so intense and intimidating people don’t walk, they run out the door Overall, a horrible company to work for. They made me feel like trash the entire time I worked there. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We do agree that our Behavior Technicians work hard to provide the best services possible to our learners. At the same time, our leadership and human resources teams work hard to ensure a holistic compensation package that includes pay rate, consistent and guaranteed work hours, paid training above industry standards, Paid Time Off (PTO), bonus PTO, medical and retirement benefits, Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), employee health & wellness programs, professional development, and more. We know that taking time off is important and that sickness is more prevalent over cold and flu season when working with children. We have created procedures around our sick, attendance, and time off request policies that consider a safe environment as well as consistent hours for both our learners and staff.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We agree, our learners are the BEST! Our attendance policy was created to ensure consistency for our learners as well as our team members. This consistency is an essential component in supporting our learners' development and providing a reliable schedule for our staff. Our leadership knows that by supporting our team, the team will then support our learners. We do hold our team to high standards because we have a high standard of care for our learners.
