Pros
Good salary. Good team member.
Cons
Cons: The environment outside the team can feel quite toxic, with excessive unnecessary attention on matters such as WFH arrangements, MCs, and annual leave, as though people have little else to focus on. There is also a perception that even higher management tends to be overly involved in unnecessary matters. When concerns are raised, there are often assurances given but limited concrete solutions implemented. Favoritism is noticeable at times, and there are instances where authority and seniority may be exercised in an unconstructive or unnecessary manner. Additionally, there appears to be a lack of streamlined guidance and structured processes. Team management can be poorly coordinated, with tasks often dependent on only one person and insufficient backup support in place. As a result, when someone is on leave, operations can become chaotic. In such situations, higher management is perceived to focus more on assigning blame and making noise rather than addressing the root cause or implementing effective solutions.
