Pros

KIND is more than a company, it is a lifestyle. The team atmosphere speaks volumes about the brand. Everyone at KIND is genuine, passionate, hard working and kind. It is great to be in a team setting where everyone pulls their weight and works together for the better of the company. Another benefit is that there is room for upward growth; upper management is dedicated to mentoring us and helping us development professionally. We have incredible benefits including PTO, a team hardship fund, all team service days and the ability to take courses to improve our skills as team members. Specific pros about the FMM role- having autonomy to direct the market based on market expertise, creating partnerships across multiple pillars, working from home, having a Team Lead to assist in managing logistics and Brand Ambassadors, support from peers and upper management. Overall, I love being a team member at KIND and am excited for the years to come representing such an amazing company.

We appreciate your feedback. We know that sitting in traffic can be frustrating, however the U.S. Department of Labor has laws and policies in place for travel time, and we follow all federal and local laws. We value all of your contributions! – KIND HR

Pros

Great place to start out of college. Causal dress code Summer Friday's Free food Free massages Work parties that happen more during the summer. Team led happy hours. A young company with members that want to grow the company.

Cons

Leadership is not transparent about issues. They refuse to talk about how things are getting bad because they believe things are getting better. Statistics are saying the opposite. Mid level managers really have no authority because the CEO/President have to approve every project. If they are out for the week, things are at a standstill. There is a huge gap in processes. When new talent comes in to help create seamless processes, pushback is met by a lot of the employees who worked here for years. They have the " if it's not broke; don't fix it" approach to change. Issue is, things are very broken. Pay is very low compared to other CPG companies. They do not negotiate pay during interviews. With small companies like Blue Apron & Vita Coco having work from home policies ( even 1 day a week) it's upsetting that Kind is behind the times. Kind states it's for having teamwork and collaboration but it's more to keep tabs on its employees. With technologies as IM, google hangouts, Skype etc. it's easier now, to work remotely and still be productive. WFH is really frowned upon at the office and will stunt career growth, if you do it. If you're not in sales you will not be working from home. Kind boast about being company owners and speaking to managers to correct this but enough people have pushed for a WFH policy but will not implement one. Summer Fridays even though a pro, is monitored by leadership. They patrol the office making sure everyone is present. If they know someone is not in, they will inquire if you took a day off.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. KIND has grown quickly so some growing pains are inevitable. In the face of bumps in the road, we’ve always valued candid feedback. We think that the only way to really improve is by having honest, transparent conversations. Hopefully you felt comfortable sharing this feedback with those you worked closely with, or HR directly, while you were still with the company. We thank you for your contributions during your time with us and wish you all the best. - KIND HR
