      Pros

      The students and the families are great. They love and trust the teachers. Awesome playgrounds Values that each school upholds

      Cons

      Long hours, no planning time. No autonomy over how information is presented to students Lack of culturally relevant material and teachers The Kipp way all the time. Poor paternal and maternal leave policies If you are not young and moldable or trained by a Kipp school you won't be hired. Some schools can have cliques

      At the end of the day - you know that you are helping the most deserving students across Washington DC.

      Hard work, long hours, great teacher pay and vacation schedule, but not as strong for admin staff.
