      Pros

      Potential for promotion if your supervisors like you. It is not based on how good you are at your job.

      Cons

      It's one big popularity contest. They literally view the education of young minds from vulnerable communities as a joke. Very little gets done. It's one or two people on every team doing all the work, and they're not the ones getting a modicum of credit for it.

      Teachers are very supportive of one another Some admin helpful

      Cons

      The workload is too much - Lots of meetings that take up time we really need for prep and grading, very high numbers of things to grade, last-minute schedule changes, shorter summer breaks, PD not very helpful - Student behavior needs to be improved to create a safe working and learning space for teachers and students

      - pretty good support when I worked there - some great coworkers - lovely students

      - stressful - school leadership not on same page as mental health team quite often - school leadership doesn't understand the job
