      Pros

      The only pro is the relationships that are formed with students and families.

      Cons

      Extremely toxic environment, horrible and cliquey leadership, especially the principal and managing director. Principal does a lot of lip service, but rarely delivers. Favoritism is huge, and people are promoted to leadership positions with little to no experience. There are inconsistencies among leaders/deans with regards to student culture and therefore students are not held accountable and are extremely disrespectful. No respect for the staff, their time, and work/life balance doesn’t exist. The absolute worse place for someone to work if you still love kids and love teaching because this place will make you hate it.

      Pros

      Educators are hard working and mission driven despite their low pay when compared to the non teaching staff there.

      Cons

      Educators are bullied by Regional Office Staff who are overpaid and less educated with mediocre skills and work experiences.

      Pros

      The kids, the families, Good pay, benefits, time off, & Nikki Barnes’ vision and wisdom

      Cons

      No work life balance, no support, KAB k-8 leadership picks and chooses who is supported, then punishes those who weren’t. There is intense favoritism. Lack of concern or understanding for teacher mental health, though they pretend they do. Inclusion room SPED students are not serviced by SPED teachers. The best of leadership has left over the years.
