Pros

many intelligent and inspiring staff, amazing kids, opportunities for innovation and experimentation

Cons

the KIPP culture of no excuses and consistent use of of humiliation and shaming is not an effective character growth strategy for struggling kids.. There are teaching tactics used my many teachers that are emotionally damaging to students. among staff back talking, rumoring and cliques are very common. I had many great memories there but ultimately the experience was one of enormous disappointment

Pros

time off at the end of the year, nice location, some good people, casual dress, convenient office, some training provided

Cons

weak leadership, high-school clique, favoritism, no raises, status-quo, double standards, unqualified people with big titles, elite attitudes, hard to learn or accomplish anything, too many initiatives, no focus on results, no diversity
