Pros

Highly structured, frequent observations, opportunities for advancement.

Cons

Where to start? Unrealistic expectations, micromanagement, appealing to sense of moral obligation to take advantage of teachers. Too many demands and too little support. Poor support from admin with handling extreme student behavior. They say they want justice and equity in education but so many of their policies fly in the face or research. My time here was so bad I almost left the education field completely. Thankfully I have found a new school to work at and am back to loving my job.

Pros

Clean schools, seems like a lot of money and time goes into the appearances and the overall prestige

Cons

SMOKE AND MIRRORS. All their efforts go into the appearances. Teachers are first years with absolutely no classroom management, the BOM position is basically the personal asst to the "principal", underqualified people hired as operations teams. The school leaders will have you bill the most unnecessary things as expenses and you wonder why you can't afford what regular school districts can. The teacher appreciation weeks are meant to give teachers with extravagant items when basic training is what they really need. Their trainings are laughable. No one takes the time to explain why things are the way they are. Just a bunch of Karens and Kevins in upper management who pat themselves on the back for working in "inner city schools". Poor pimping for sure. Left questioning my entire career choice.

Pros

High expectations for all students, resources are provided unlike traditional public schools, and working alongside other like minded individuals

Cons

You work very long hours! I would also state that the admin works the same hours along side you, which is not very common in other schools I have worked at.
