High bar for excellence, Clear expectations, Growth opportunities (we are adding students and staff positions every year), Aligned goals and mission, Teammates passionate about working for kids

Cons

Our school day and school year are lengthy due to our belief in the need for more instructional time for students who may be struggling. This pace can be challenging for some if they aren't able to find a flow that works for them.

I feel so lucky to work with a great group of smart dedicated people who are committed to providing students with a high quality college prep education. The opportunities to collaborate and develop professionally are outstanding. People care about each other here.

Cons

It's a big time commitment. Everyone here works very hard (which is good!) but it means the hours are long.

Pros

Super smart and committed co-workers who do whatever it takes to help scholars be successful. A close-knit staff culture and community-your co-workers often become your best friends. Strong focus on professional development and becoming better at your role, especially for teachers. Also, the benefits package is excellent.

Cons

Time commitment-working at KIPP is certainly a full time job plus some. Couldn't work with a better group of people, though.
