Pros

My coworkers are the best to work with. Everyone I work with is extremely supportive and encouraging in working towards our goal of teaching our scholars. You will have a coach, be observed weekly, have personal professional development. KIPP St. Louis as a whole often recognizes and encouragea it's teachers for their hard work.

Cons

We do not have subs, that makes taking off work less likely to occur. When a person does take off it effects multiple staff members due to coverage. Our hours are extended. This includes occasional family nights, recruiting outings, and family Saturdays that are mandatory with no additional compensation.
