      NOT a Great Place to Work

      Pros

      Opportunity to travel extensively especially on short notice. Free coffee and tea in the breakrooms. Decent fitness centers on the San Jose and Milpitas campuses.

      Cons

      KLA Tencor used to be a great place to work but has gone downhill for years. Little to no appreciation for hard work and long hours. Air travel is in coach class only, even internationally. Unreasonable workloads and tight schedules throughout the company with little regard for quality. Cheaper is better, meaning offshoring is where KLA Tencor is headed. Doubtful there will be a significant presence in the US in the not too distant future.

      Disappointing Interview Experience

      Pros

      I recently went through multiple rounds of interviews for a Senior Financial Analyst position at KLA. While the initial process went smoothly, I was disappointed that I did not receive any updates or feedback after completing all the rounds of interviews. As a candidate, it's essential to receive some communication regarding the status of the application, especially after investing time and effort in the interview process. Pros: The interview process was well-organized in the initial stages. The team members I interacted with were friendly and knowledgeable.

      Cons

      Cons: Lack of communication after the final round of interviews. Not receiving any feedback or updates on my application status. I believe that clear and timely communication with candidates is essential in providing a positive candidate experience. I hope that KLA can improve their communication process to ensure a better experience for future candidates.

      Classic Greedy Corporate Culture

      Job flexibility, pay is decent

      Cons

      Pay for salary roles is pretty good but four hourly roles forget it. You get squeezed for every second of your time to earn pay much lower than the salary roles. Essentially zero growth potential. Senior management appears to be good. Low and Mid level managers have inflated egos and are stingy. Reward their favorites only.
